We're finalists for 'Innovation in web design' at the Lincolnshire Digital Awards 2015

Tom Bradley

The Lincolnshire Digital Awards set out to both reward and bring individuals and companies together who are at the forefront of digital within the Greater Lincolnshire area.

The 'innovation in web design' award looks at those who have made strides to push the boundaries of web design and development.  Whether that is through the use of new functionality or alternative design. The judges are looking for sites that clearly demonstrate new ways of approaching web design and development.

The new Lincolnshire Show website is a fantastic example of what can be achieved with the latest responsive website design techniques. The site's wonderfully illustrative, colourful and fun design responds seemlessly to changing environments ensuring that it is perfectly optimised for desktop and mobile devices across the board (without dumbing down any of the content to save space). The new website includes an illustrated, interactive map (utilising the Google map API), an easy-to-use events filtering system for browsing through what the show has to offer, pop-up galleries, and an interactive drag-and-drop educational game for the kids. On top of this the Lincolnshire Showground team are able to manage everything on the site using our clever CMS (content management system).

With special guest, Jason Bradbury announcing the winners of 8 categories including Digital Business of the Year, Best Digital Campaign, Innovation in Web Design, Best use of Multimedia and Best Digital Startup - this year's awards will be handed out on the 10th March at the Doubletree, Lincoln. Wish us luck!
