After a nail-biting wait the results of this year's Digital Awards were announced at last night's fantastic show. With awards celebrating the leaders of Lincolnshire's technology industry we were up against some tough competition for the 'Innovation in web design' award.
Last night's unique awards, held at the stunning DoubleTree by Hilton, were presented by the Gadget Show's Jason Bradbury with winners determined by a panel of independent judges.
The 'innovation in web design' award looks at those who have made strides to push the boundaries of web design and development. Whether that is through the use of new functionality or alternative design. The judges are looking for sites that clearly demonstrate new ways of approaching web design and development.

It was our recent launch of the new Lincolnshire Show website that had made it through to the final two still in contention for the award. The new Show site is fun, highly interactive and beautifully responsive and so far the feedback we've received for it has been fantastic. We've really enjoyed working with the Showground team on the new design and we think this really shines through in the finished product.
“It took a huge amount of time, effort and inspiration to break the boundaries of other county show websites so we are over the moon with the results." Amelia Chambers, Lincolnshire Showground
With our award left as one of the last to be announced we were left nervously sipping LDA's signature cocktails until late into the night. When the time came the nominees were shared and our name was called as the winner - hoorah! Judges said that the Lincolnshire Show website is "lively and engaging from the start" and that it's "a real call to buy tickets to attend the show, with great functionality to enable the user to plan their visit as the event draws closer"

“The new website has only been up and running for just over a month so we are delighted that already it has been recognised with an award." Amelia Chambers, Lincolnshire Showground
Overall the evening was a fantastic success and we all had a great time. Thanks to everyone involved and in particular to the Root Studio and Lincolnshire Showground teams :)
