To celebrate the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society's 150th year we've collaborated with a local brewer to produce this fantastic local craft ale
January of this year marked the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society's 150th year, and what better way to toast the occasion than with a bottle of their very own celebration ale brewed locally using local hops and with a label designed by their local agency.
The Society raised a glass at a celebratory farmers' lunch hosted at the Lincolnshire Showground packed with over 250 past, present and future farmers from across the county. As a special touch, the local Ferry Ales Brewery was asked to produce a batch of golden ale to celebrate the event. Their delicious concoction, 'Harvest Gold', with its citrus flavours and pleasant floral, herbal and earthy aroma was created using 'Brewers Gold' hops grown by Lincolnshire Hops.
When asked to design the brand and label for the beer we knew that we wanted to create something special to mark such a prestigious event in the Society's history. We wanted to capture the creativity of the brewing process, a clear connection to agriculture and a palette that really highlights the vibrant golden appearance of the beer. Our solution was to produce something truly unique for the brand, a totally hand crafted illustrative logotype that loops and overlaps throughout in a beautifully balanced design. See more of our creative print design here.
As a group of beer enthusiasts, designing the label was a real pleasure! And we're pleased to hear that this exclusive Lincolnshire ale will be on tap at Lincolnshire Showground events throughout the year as well as available to buy from a selection of local pubs and independent shops across the county. You can also buy a case of the beer here (while stocks last!).
Congratulations to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society for such an amazing achievement!
