We love a brand with a story and McKelvie Candles had a great one just waiting to be told. An award-winning, family-run business, McKelvie specialises in artisan candles, handcrafting naturally inspired fragrances with a deep commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing.
Our rebrand was sparked by the tale of Granny McKelvie, a nod to the brand’s Scottish heritage, and a legendary folk story from her home town of Linlithgow. At the heart of the town’s history is a black greyhound - a symbol of loyalty and bravery - that saved its imprisoned master by swimming across Linlithgow Loch with food. This powerful symbol is still embraced by locals today, proudly known as ‘Black Bitches’.




Inspired by this rich history, we crafted a bold new logo and brand identity, complemented by hand-drawn illustrations and bespoke packaging that bring McKelvie’s heritage and craftsmanship to life. The result is a brand that not only looks stunning but carries a story as rich and evocative as its fragrances.
