Print & Digital Marketing support for The Beonna, Benington

Beonna website design by Root Studio

We're proud to announce the launch of The Beonna's new website, marking the culmination of a year long project for the studio to help the Benington Community Trust bring the village's All Saints church back to life.

Their beautiful Grade I listed building has been welcoming visitors for more than 800 years and has been reborn in 2019 as The Beonna at All Saints. The building now combines the splendour of a medieval church with the imposing Victorian renovations and the comforts and convenience of the 21st century.

The story starts in 2007 with the formation of the Benington Community Heritage Trust (BCHT) to raise money for the restoration and in 2017, after 10 years of fundraising and planning, the restoration and conversion works began. After a consultation period towards the end of 2017, Root Studio joined the team to create a brand for the project, deliver a range of creative interpretation signage solutions and produce a digital platform to promote the new venue.

A key element for the project was a new online space, serving as a hub for all the digital services key to The Beonna's promotion as a community hub and events venue. The BCHT needed a website that was sympathetic to the restoration of the church but also showcased a modern space ideal for community meet-ups, charity events and weddings.

We've been able to design and develop a website that features all this and more. The site features a comprehensive news and events area, allowing the team to keep the community and visitors fully up-to-date with everything happening at The Beonna. Adding events to the website is easy with a custom events application, allowing the addition of recurring events as well as one-off community dates.

Alongside this we have a comprehensive history section and timeline showing key moments from the churches history that also allows users to upload stories from the local community. Part of the trusts remit is to uncover stories from the surrounding area and we look forward to supporting The Beonna in this aim over the coming years.

Other features include local walking and cycling routes, an online application process for volunteer roles and the ability to sign-up for more news and stories from The Beonna team.

Working on the site and being involved with a project so close to home has been a real high point of the past 12 months for the studio and we can't wait to help the team grow their digital marketing presence over the next year. Find out more about our work with the BHCT in our portfolio.
