Research & discovery
Understanding your business and its audience is vital in order to produce intuitive and engaging websites and digital products. During our conversations and workshops we’ll discover what makes your business unique, gather insights from any available data points and gain a detailed overview of your customer base. From this information we’ll form a detailed web design brief, a user journey map and sitemap that will form the basis of our creative process.
The creative process
Our experienced design team will come together to produce a range of bespoke website designs that approach your brief in different ways. These concepts will be iterated and refined thoroughly in-house before being presented for your consideration. We’ll produce interactive prototypes for you to explore and approve including all required page templates, leaving no stone unturned.
The development process
Our team of developers will start any build by creating a thorough digital style guide using our own bespoke code-base. All our code adheres to the latest web standards and is written by our in-house development team. Your website will be built within a secure staging area available for you to see at any stage during the development process.
Ongoing support
Once the CMS (Content Management System) has been installed, we’ll provide you with a full one-to-one tutorial for editing the site. Typically you’ll be able to edit almost every aspect of the site’s content with ease and flexibility. We’ll offer you various monthly support packages ranging from regular software update and security patches to content audits, reports and other custom packages to suit your needs.
Other digital services
As well as website design our developers can produce web applications, email newsletter templates and other custom digital products. If you have a specific requirement please get in touch - we’d love to discuss the options with you. In addition to this we also offer other digital marketing solutions such as website analysis, keyword research and SEO as well as the creation of digital advertising and social media assets.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a website design cost?
Our website design fees vary depending the complexity and functionality required (rather than the number of pages for example). As a rough guide, fees for a single landing page start from around £4,500+VAT, with brochure sites and e-commerce solutions starting at around £10,000+VAT.
Will you write the content for my website too?
We can produce text, image and video content for your website for an additional fee.
What CMS (Content Management System) do you use?
For new websites we build using Statamic or Shopify and can also support websites build using Perch, Craft or Wordpress.
How long does the website design process take?
Timeframes can vary from project to project but as a rough guide the process typically takes between 8-12 weeks for a standard brochure style website.
What happens if I don’t like the design concepts?
It’s important to consider what your target audience would respond well to rather than personal preference but if you don’t think any of the concepts fit the bill then we will discuss why this might be before revisiting the design phase and presenting more concepts for your consideration.
I am outside of the UK, how would this work?
No problem, we have many overseas clients and meet regularly via video call. All estimates and bills are provided in GBP and can be paid via bank transfer or credit card.
How do you bill for a website design?
After a design contract has been agreed we will send over a deposit invoice. We typically bill website projects at either three or four milestones during the design and build process.
How long will my website last?
The best way to ensure longevity from your website is to opt for one of our support packages - this will allow us to maintain the code, content and performance of the website on a long term basis. We would always advocate the steady evolution of a website rather than a complete overhaul every few years.
